Descent:FreeSpace is a computer game where the player flies around in a spaceship blowing stuff up. At the end of the game, you win the war but get blown up as well.

As the game’s credits roll by, there’s a voice-over that talks about how noble and selfless you were and how people with revere your name forever because of your willing sacrifice, yadda, yadda, yadda.

Morgan happened to be walking by as my eulogy continued. He stopped and said “You were scampering away as fast as you could, weren’t you?”

He was right but I preferred the way the game said it.
