snickers

Last year, as with most Halloweens, we got a bunch of candy to give away. We had kit kats, reese’s, mounds and snickers. A lot of the discussions around Halloween are about what to do with the leftover candy.

Pam doesn’t like nuts so she won’t go near snickers. I like nuts, but the only way that I’d ever eat a snickers is if there wasn’t any other candy. I have my standards.

This meant that there was only one solution: make sure that the trick-or-treaters took all of the snickers. The theory was that whenever a trick-or-treater took a snickers, it was one less snickers for us to get rid of. More importantly, it also meant one more kit kat, reese’s, or mounds for us.

To make sure that the trick-or-treaters took all of the snickers, I put them on the top of the candy bucket. Unfortunately, the little bastards plunged their grubby fists though the layers of snickers and grabbed the good stuff.

I’ve since been advised to stop letting the trick-or-treaters get the candy themselves and just hand the snickers to them directly.
