Our youngest grandkid’s birthday is coming soon. There’ll be a party and we just got the invite. The baby picture on the invite showed him holding up his index finger. Apparently, his folks figured that the finger was for his number one birthday. 

It didn’t bother them that one end of the finger was jammed up his nose. It didn’t bother me either. 

A few hours before we saw the invite, we were looking at a picture of another baby with a raised finger. In this case, it was the middle finger. 

Since the baby wasn’t smiling, it was easy to imagine that the baby was thinking “get that camera out of my face!”
