After Pam and I walked Lulu the other night, we noticed that we had some ice on our front steps. Since we were expecting 50 degree weather on the following day, we talked ourselves out of putting down any de-icer.
I’ve been told that Lulu’s leisurely pace isn’t fast enough to count as a workout for me so I was going to take another walk by myself at a faster clip.
As soon as I got to the steps, I found myself slipping tusch over teakettle and landed on my tusch and left forearm. Nothing broke but I felt a bit bent.
My forearm had a scratch along its length and my coat was a bit worse for wear. I was a bit shaken but I went back on my speedier walk about 15 minutes later.
We discussed that some may call this karma at work. I’m sticking with “unintended consequences”.
