sunblock clothing

I was recently told about sunblock clothing. Apparently, this is clothing that you wear to prevent sun damage to your skin.

Isn’t this also known as any clothing?

It’s difficult to take this seriously. I’m no stranger to sunburn and sunstroke, my skin is usually lily white or lobster red. Every time I’ve gotten sun damage, it was to areas of skin that weren’t covered with clothing. Even in the sunny Caribbean, I never got a sunburn through my shirt.

I gotta think that even my flimsiest shirts have an SPF of several hundred. Unless we’re talking about see-through clothing, not something that I’m known to wear, most clothing has a pretty significant SPF.
