I was at the orthopedist’s office with Pam and for whatever reason, the subject of the bad traffic in our area came up.

The assistant/nurse/physician’s assistant/whatever said that it was because of all of the retirees filling up the roads and driving slowly.

Since I’d just mentioned that I’d recently retired, I figured that this was a perfect time to apologize on behalf of all retirees.

I laughed as I said it to show that I wasn’t offended. I’m hoping that the doctor noticed that.
