One afternoon, Pam and I went to our community pool and splashed around for a bit. Then Pam lay down on a lounge chair for some sun worship and I just lay floating on my back in the middle of the pool with my eyes closed.
I’d open my eyes every now and then to check if I was about to bash my noggin on the side of the pool.
Sometimes I’d see the roof of the clubhouse and other times I’d see nothing but a clear sky. Then I saw the top of a palm tree.

“Palm tree? Oh yeah, palm trees are where I live now.”
Then I bumped my noggin on the side of the pool.
