Pam’s magic car 🚙 starter

Pam and I each have a car 🚙 and we tend to replace them every 8-10 years. We stagger the purchases so that we’re never making payments on more than one car at a time.

Because of the new features of cars over 4-5 years, one of us is usually jealous of some new feature of the other’s newer car.

One of us was jealous of the other’s backup mirror. One of us was jealous of the other’s carplay. This goes back to CD players.

When I ordered a new car, Pam mentioned that she was jealouts of the remote car starter. Then I remembered that the key fob for the new car was identical to Pam’s fob… And my car could start remotely… Could it be…

I didn’t know how to use the remote car starter, so I had to google the instructions. You push a sequence of buttons and the last step involved pushing a button that looked like a circular arrow (the hell?) for an awfully long time.

Pam pushed and held. And held. And held…

The car finally started! From across the parking lot!

This is why you don’t skip the part where the car salesperson shows you all of the features of your new car.

Anyway, Pam spent 3ish years starting her car from inside the car when she didn’t have to. Like a chump.

Don’t tell her that I told you.
