and counting

The other day, as I was about to close the garage door from my car, I noticed a light gold/red kitty walk into the garage. I didn’t want to trap the thing in the garage and leave a clawed surprise for Pam, and I didn’t want to leave the door open, so I decided that I needed to chase it out of the garage.

Of course, as soon as I was out of the car, I saw the kitty heading out. I waited for the kitty to be just outside the garage and then pushed the close button on the remote. This scared the dickens out of the kitty and the kitty ran off.

Later that night, as I closed the living room curtains, I noticed that the same kitty was lounging outside on our porch chair.

I asked Pam if she’d noticed a light gold/red kitty hanging around the house. She said “Yeah, we’ve seen it for years.”

I thought to myself “Oh well, so long as we don’t start feeding it, or building it a heated shelter in the winter, or taking it to the vet, or moving to Tampa with it, or calling it Frank.”

Then Pam said “Oh well, so long as we don’t start feeding it, or building it a heated shelter in the winter, or taking it to the vet, or moving to Tampa with it.”

43 years and counting.
