Some of our friends are really big fans of Michigan State University. Apparently, fans of Michigan State University think that it’s vitally important that MSU beat the University of Michigan in sports games.

It’s happened three times that while I was with these friends that there’d be a game on TV with MSU opposing U of M. Two of those times MSU won and the other time U of M won.

I noticed that on the times that I saw MSU win, I was wearing my “sports” shirt. This is a T-shirt with things like “I’m super worked-up because my team did stuff” and “Move the thing to the other thing.” I got it to celebrate my ignorance of most things sports.

Anyway, based on a sample set of three, I found that if I wear this shirt during a Michigan-Michigan game, MSU will win.

I mentioned this to Rick, who said that if the MSU fans heard that, then they’d all want a another “sports” shirt.

This hadn’t occurred to me. I’d figured that I’d have to wear the shirt.
