2 truths and a lie

For <reasons>, I was asked at work to provide 2 truths and a lie about myself and the folks who were meeting me would try to guess which one was the lie.

I’ve heard of this kind of thing but never been involved with or even seen one. I figured that I’d just list some of the weirder stuff that I’ve done and then falsify one of them.

Unfortunately, I’d blanked out on most of the weird stuff that I’ve done. What’s weird for most people is just another day for me. My solution was to explain my problem on Facebook and ask for suggestions.

One of my brothers reminded me that I ran a cartoon character for student president. One of my sons pointed out that I’d thrown a piano in the trash, a tiny piece at a time. I already had my tale of dancing a Tango to the Police’s Roxanne, so I was ready to go.

Here is the list that I gave to work:

I ran a cartoon character for student president and won.
I danced a Tango to the Police’s Every Breath You Take.
I threw an upright piano in the garbage a tiny piece at a time over several months.

Pretty much everyone guessed that the Tango story was the false one because they didn’t think that I could Tango. I explained that the Tango story was false because I danced a Tango to Roxanne, not Every Breath You Take.

If you’re interested, I’d detailed the cartoon character’s adventures in Billy Mouse. I discussed Roxanne, not Every Breath You Take, in Roxanne. And piano disposal story is part of our piano.
