not the most

At work, we were discussing how a project had gone horribly wrong. We eventually agreed fault lay with the project manager named Grant who took misplaced pride in avoiding technical issues.

Shawn agreed and started to say “That’s because Grant isn’t the most…” and then Shawn trailed off. Shawn didn’t want to start a pile-on on Grant.

I said “Yeah, Let’s just say that Grant’s not the most.”

It’s sorta like we can’t even.
