Rachel was driving her minivan with her kids in the back. Everyone was safely buckled up. While on the freeway with ice on the road, a tire blew out. The minivan skidded wildly but eventually wound up on the far edge of the shoulder.
Whew! A close one.
Before anyone unbuckled, the minivan slowly leaned toward the ditch, picking up speed as it landed on the passenger side, then the roof, then the drive’s side, and finally ended up upright at the bottom of the ditch.
Everyone was unhurt. The minivan’s structure survived despite the nasty bodywork damage.
Rachel’s husband soon showed up to take them home. He got 2 perspectives on the accident:
Rachel: “omgomgomg. (gasp) It was… (another gasp) The…”. (starts bawling)
kids: “Dad! Dad! It! was! so! cool!”
