Pam and I took Friday off to have a 3-day weekend in Evansville for Henry’s first birthday. We stopped for lunch BFE, Indiana (in this case, Noblesville) at a restaurant called Chuy’s. In the washroom, a Barenaked Ladies tunes was playing louder than I needed to hear. As we drove away, I played some dance music (Il Mostro by Ashram) to drive Barenaked Ladies out of my head.
That night, as I was getting supplies from the neighborhood Schnucks (I know, I’ve already made the jokes) I was regaled with the same song. I tried to play Ashram again but my phone played a “Security Now” podcast. This wasn’t nearly as useful for getting rid of the Ladies. Since I was already driving at this point, I was stuck with the Ladies in my head.
On our way back from Evansville, we stopped in Noblesville again at a J.C.Penny or something. Once again, I heard the same bloody tune by Barenaked Ladies. This time, we used a playlist of favorite Roxy Music tunes to drive out the Ladies.
Using Google, I later figured that it was “Pinch Me” by Barenaked Ladies that was chasing me across the great state of Indiana. Another reason to stay out of Indiana.
