I was in a meeting where 2 folks were having an argument. One of the arguers was on the other end of the speakerphone. The other arguer was in the same room as me and a half-dozen other worker bees.

The argument was devolving into the “You are so!” “I am not!” phase and I was getting pretty antsy. I didn’t want to be around for this and I certainly wasn’t needed.

Unfortunately, I had to walk the length of the room to get out of there. I was trying to avoid making a show of leaving and not look like I was storming out for dramatic effect.

If I had been trying for a dramatic effect, I probably shouldn’t have tripped over the speaker wire on my way out.
