I’ve watched a lot of Star Trek over the years. When asked if I’m a fan or a “trekkie” I hesitate to answer though. When I think of “trekkies”, I think of the folks who dress up as Star Trek characters. I ‘ve never dressed up as a Star Trek character. I’ve never gone to a Star Trek convention.

I was listening to a podcast called “Random Trek”. This podcast selects a Star Trek episode at random and talks about the episode for 45-60 minutes. The host expressed similar difficulty when asked if he’s a fan. He doesn’t dress up as Star Trek characters and he’s never gone to a Star Trek convention. However, he does host a show about Star Trek.

I guess that answers the question for me more thoroughly: I ‘ve never dressed up as a Star Trek character, and I’ve never gone to a Star Trek convention, but I do listen to a podcast about Star Trek.
