Lulu is known for barking her head off for no good reason. Often, it’s because a neighbor, or squirrel, or leaf was seen in the distance.
In the past, when I was bored and felt like outsmarting a dog, I’d knock on the table. Then Lulu would run to the front door with her muzzle in the air barking and howling at the imaginary intruder.
When Corwin comes by, we usually get the same frantic running and barking and howling until she realizes that it’s Corwin and stands down.
This morning, Pam and Corwin were going to Lansing, so Corwin came over around 7:30am to ride with Pam. He came into the house and Lulu just lay beside my bed as if nothing had happened.
Apparently, burglars are welcome in the early morning hours.
